A Dallas man died Sunday afternoon after hitting an 18-wheeler in Grand Prairie, police said.

Jesus E. Ramirez-Gonzalez, 22, veered into the shoulder of East Interstate 20 at State Highway 161 at around 4:15 p.m. and hit the 18-wheeler that was parked there because of a flat tire, police said.

Ramirez-Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the 18-wheeler was waiting inside the cab and was not injured.

No criminal charges are pending.

This is the seventh traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year, police said.
